The Sharonville Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Recognition Lunch On January 30, 2008 and announced the 2007 winners of its two most prestigious awards.

The 2007 Business Person of the Year is presented to the Chamber member who has contributed significantly to a business breakthrough or outstanding achievement in the growth of sales, innovation, excellence in leadership, increased productivity, and has demonstrated good business citizenship.

The 2007 Business Person of the Year award was presented to Barbara Scull, President of The Alleen Company. "She deserves this award for her numerous contributions over many years to the benefit of her business, our Chamber, and the Sharonville community," said Arnold. Following the ceremony Scull said "I'm still in shock. This is such an honor. I'm thrilled for our company and very proud to have been recognized by the Chamber."

The 2007 Sharonville Chamber Award is presented to the person or organization who has contributed significantly to Sharonville community, and as a result the businesses and people of Sharonville are better off; has added appeal and improved quality of life; has made Sharonville a more rounded, active, diverse, attractive community.

The Sharonville Fine Arts Council garnered the 2007 Sharonville Chamber Award. "By implementing a comprehensive arts and cultural initiative," said Arnold "they have made a significant contribution to the community. They have added appeal and improved the quality of life in Sharonville and the surrounding region - and we salute them."

"This is the frosting on the cake," said Gayla Price, Fine Arts Council Board member and PNC branch manager. She continued saying "We have worked hard. We experienced great days and a few difficult days, but we never lost our vision and zeal for this project. We are all very proud of what we accomplished in 2007, yet humbled by the Chamber's recognition of our impact … thank-you Sharonville Chamber!"

The Chamber also honored its Sustaining Members: Blue Goose Sports Café, City of Sharonville, National City, PNC Bank, Rookwood Properties and Rumpke Consolidated Companies.
